edinburgh-quays-of-leith-sir-edwards-roadtrip

When I visit a city, I like to go about at random, to see where it will lead me. That’s how I discovered Leith. This neighbourhood is located about 3 km northeast of the city centre. Here, we are far from the crowds of the Royal Mile!

Leith is the old port of Edinburgh. Previously in decline, today, it is full of vitality. The old warehouses have been converted and the docks renovated. It has really been nicely done! Many cafes, bars and shops have opened. Old factories, like The Biscuit Factory, even hold artistic projects.

To discover all the facets of Leith, I decided to go along the docks. All these channels and bridges, makes me want to walk. I’ll see where that can lead me!
