On the highland coast, we can expect to see sealsotters or dolphins. It all depends on the season! On the « Wild Coastal Trail« , the best view points are identified. Clashtoll Beach is one of them.

With its turquoise waters, Clashtoll looks like a tropical beach. But the snow-capped mountains remind me that I truly am in Scotland. Here, everything breathes wild nature. The wind blows in the grass and the waves crash on the rocks.

If I’m patient enough, I hope to see porpoises or dolphins. For basking sharks and Minke whales, it is much more uncertain. The best period to observe them is from May to September. At worst, if I do not see anything, I will still have discovered a beautiful beach!
