The Isle of Arran is very much worth an hour on the ferry! In the late afternoon, I took a seat on a CalMac company ferry in Ardrossan. In 55 minutes, I was in Brodick, the main port of the Isle of Arran.

The Isle of Arran is often described as a miniature Scotland. There are all the charms of the country: mountainscastlesunspoilt nature and Scottish whisky!

From the ferry, I could see the shore of the Isle of Arran. From there, the relief seems quite low, but it’s misleading. The top of the island, called Goat Fell, rises to nearly 900 metres. It means there are great hikes to look forward to!
