footsteps-robert-the-bruce-sir-edwards-roadtrip

More than 700 years ago, the King of Scots stood where I stand. It was here that Robert the Bruce won his first victory over the English troops.

It was the beginning of a series of fights that would lead Scotland to independence. Glen Trool is a famous battle back home.

At the end of the day, the sun plays hide and seek, while the fog engulfs the forest. I think of Robert the Bruce and the men who fought here. After the fury of the fights, silence has reclaimed its rights.
