in-the-footsteps-of-harry-potter-in-scotland-sir-edwards-roatrip

Sure, Scotland’s scenery lends itself beautifully to the world of Harry Potter. The mountains are spectacular and the clouds often bring an air of mystery. Many movie scenes have been shot there. And in the top places to see, I think the Glenfinnan viaduct features very high in the list! That’s why I wanted to capture it.

This bridge is immediately recognisable. We see it in Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban. For sorcerer’s apprentices, it’s a must to get to Hogwarts School.

In real life, this viaduct is not crossed by the Hogwarts Express. But reality is not so far from fiction! The Jacobite is a steam train that runs from April to October. It travels between Fort William and Mallaig. This train takes you through magical places over 135 kilometres. Almost as magical as the adventures of Harry Potter!
