The old bridge over the Sligachan River is the starting point for one of the most beautiful hikes on the Isle of Skye. In the distance under the clouds, I saw Sgurr na Stri. To go there, hikers usually meet up early in the morning.

But the old bridge of Sligachan is not only frequented by hikers. It is also popular with lovers of eternal beauty. This is not a joke.

Like many rivers in Scotland, Sligachan is full of legends. An old story says that to stay beautiful forever, you have to immerse your face in the river. I did it! It will take a few years to find out if it worked!
