Linlithgow Palace is in ruins, but those ruins are beautiful! Unlike many castles, Linlithgow was not built for protection, but for pleasure. This castle was first designed to be pleasant to live in.

And despite being 600 years old, the property is still full of charm, just as its park. In the 15th century, the monarchs of Scotland loved to go there. Today, joggers love to let off steam there.

The Stuarts did not have trainers when they went around their property. But with my running shoes on, I feel a little like the king of Scotland!
