Kelburn Castle belongs to the Earl of Glasgow. Until 2007, it was a simple Scottish castle. But Brazilian artists have brought it into another dimension.

As I was told, this facade of the castle is covered with concrete. The owner wanted to remove the coating to reveal the stones. But while waiting for the work to begin, he gave graffiti artists the permission to use it.

And the result took everyone by surprise! Many visitors come each year to admire the colourful fresco. So much that the Earl of Glasgow has asked the historic monuments committee the right to keep it.

For now, graffiti is still there. Looking at them, I cannot help but smile. I do not know if the ancestors of the Earl of Glasgow would have liked these paintings. But I think they embellish the castle!
