this-morning-a-scottish-breakfast-sir-edwards-roadtrip

To start the day in Scotland, nothing beats a good breakfast. As in England, bacon and eggs are frequently on the menu. Sausages and toasts are often unavoidable.

But in Scotland, there are also variants. In cafes or guest rooms, I like to order porridge, a creamy mush made from oats. I also enjoy scrambled eggs, with nice slices of Scottish smoked salmon. If you are adventurous, I recommend the whole smoked herring. It’s great for your health!

This morning, breakfast includes a slice of haggis. Here, it’s the national dish. Haggis is stuffed sheep’s belly. Even at breakfast, it goes down easily, with a good cup of tea. So, do you feel like having a Scottish breakfast?
