A robin on the finger

A few steps from Glasgow Cathedral, I come across this bearded man who is holding a robin on his finger. This mural softens the street. I cover my ears to escape the cars. And by concentrating, I can almost hear the birds chirping.

After a little investigation, I discovered the name of the artist. It’s Smug, whose real name is Sam Bates. Smug is an Australian street artist based in Glasgow. Several artists of the city have gained international reputations. He is one of them.

Sam Bates is known for his realistic style. He also likes to put humour in his creations. I saw many in the streets of Glasgow. I really like the giant girl who seems to catch passers-by. It’s in Mitchell Street, I leave you the pleasure of discovering it!
