Caution, wild shoes

When I meet tourists in Scotland, they sometimes tell me that they are surprised by the clothes of the Scots. In the street, we can see very different looks. Women with discoloured pink hair, someone in a kilt, a student disguised as a banana or a metalhead with leather bracelets and long hair …

All this unbridled creativity can be found on the catwalk. Scottish fashion designers are on the rise. Christopher Kane is the most prominent. I also like the ideas of the Cat Brothers, with their fashion inspired by music and the street. The imagination of Scots on a daily basis is limitless.

Here, my neighbour at the gas station opted for a pair of leopard shoes. It’s a detail, but right away, it amuses me. The world really is funnier, with a pinch of Scottish eccentricity!
