While driving on the west coast of Harris, I go from surprises to surprises. Between Scarista and Luskentyre, there are only white sand beaches and turquoise blue sea. Going up the coast, the landscape alternates between intimate coves and majestic beaches.
I really like this little cove. It takes a bit of climbing to get there, but once down there you can admire the spectacle of nature. In the distance, we can see the Isle of Taransay with its rock, peat and heather landscapes.
I hesitate to swim. A resident of Harris assured me that the cold was only in the head. I’m not sure, the cold is also felt in the feet. Even in summer, the water does not exceed 14°C. I know the island is popular with surfers. Rather than the swimsuit, I think I will opt for the wet suit!
