For all those who know the Isle of Skye, the Old Man of Storr is a familiar sight. On the road north of Portree, you see only him. With its large spikes, this rocky peak is visible from afar.
Today, I want to see it more closely. The weather is a little overcast, but no rain on the horizon, so I can go hiking. The walk is not simple. It is quite hard to climb at the end, it is imperative to have good shoes on.
After a good hour, I arrive at the edge of the Old Man of Storr. And here, I look for him in the mist. In Scotland, people say that if you do not like the weather, you have to wait for 30 minutes to see it change. It does not work every time! I waited 45 minutes, but the clouds are too thick and cling to the rocks.
But it does not matter, the hike is worth it. I did not enjoy the great viewpoint, but the atmosphere is really gothic. That’s enough to stimulate my imagination!
