neist-point-to-the-west-sir-edwards-roatrip

Whenever I go to Neist Point, I wonder how nature has created so many waves in the rock. The cutting of the coast is incredible! This is the result of the ancient volcanic activity of the island. The entire north-west of Skye is an accumulation of lava flows.

A few years ago, you could rent a room at the Neist Point lighthouse. It is no longer possible, but I imagine that it had to be perfect to relax, far from the hustle and bustle of the world. Here, the only neighboursare the seals! The lighthouse still works but it has been automated.

The Neist Point lighthouse is also one of the best places to watch for porpoises and dolphins. For hours, I love to sit with a pair of binoculars, looking for a fin. A few days ago, 5 dolphins leaped for hours. I hope to see them!
