on-portpatrick-quay-sir-edwards-roadtrip

Portpatrick is a small port on the Rhins of Galloway Peninsula. The pastel coloured houses make it a warm and relaxing place.

Initially, I had not planned to go through Portpatrick. I just wanted to admire Loch Ryan. But on the A75 road, at every junction, I saw a sign indicating the direction to Portpatrick.

Once, twice, three times! If Portpatrick is so well signposted, I told myself that the village must be a not to be missed place.

I decided to follow the signs. And I do not regret having done it. Paved streets wind through the houses and lead to the lighthouse. I took this picture of the port, charming!
