The path to reach this beach can easily be missed. Coming from Ardoil, you have to aim for Mangarstadh Beach and not the village of the same name, which is a little bit before. Once you’re on the right road, follow the sign to the shore.
Even if you are in front of a small closed gate, you are on the right path. Just open it and close it again. It is a gate for sheep. On the Isle of Lewis, they are everywhere. Those barriers prevent them from frolicking everywhere.
After a short walk, I discovered that beach. No trace of steps, I am the first to venture there since the last tide. Mangarstadh Beach is famous for its rocks. Over here, the coast is particularly ragged. With the sun trying to pierce through the clouds, the show is spectacular.
